Getting Ready for Christmas

We were so thankful to be healthy for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, one by one, we all started to get sick right after Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve morning visiting the folks at the nursing home in town. We went to church and came home for Christmas Eve dinner, just the four of us. The kids always get to open one small item the night before Christmas, so they got their new flashlights, which I am sure kept them up a bit longer in their rooms that night!

Flexi-Girl

Sabrina has yet to lose her flexibility from her days in the womb... she is 3 years old, and off the growth charts for her height, and yet she can actually sleep in this position for extended amounts of time. We find her this way in the morning when we get her up!

Strasburg Night Before Christmas Train

For Tyler's big 5th birthday, we took him and his pal, Megan for a special ride on the Night Before Christmas train on the Strasburg Railroad. We went out for dinner and then went for our ride, the kids dressed in their p.j.s, which they thought was so fun! They were served cookies and milk on the train. We were kept nice and warm by an old-fashioned potbelly stove. A storybook reader, dressed in his nightgown and nightcap read them the famous poem, "The Night Before Christmas" as we rode through the dark countryside, catching glimpses of Christmas lights along the way.

Happy Birthday Sabrina and Tyler!

We had a dual birthday party for Tyler and Sabrina right after Thanksgiving this year! Uncle Jason and Aunt Debbee worked together on the most awesome cakes for their niece and nephew! What a labor of love, they were awesome! It was great to have all the cousins back in the States to share this birthday time together!
