A Boy and his Cat
Some would say that every kid needs a dog. I tend to actually agree, but for now, we have one cat and her name is Elsa. She's a bit out of the ordinary for a cat... she's more like a dog and an ewok mixed. She's got quite a personality and is actually dog-like when it comes to things like "fetch". We were not sure how she would behave when we brought Tyler home, but to our surprise, she immediately took him as one of her own. As the months have moved along, and Tyler has discovered her, Elsa amazingly loves him more and more. Even through many times of tail pulling (with plenty of fur in fist), Elsa just keeps coming right back to Tyler and snuggling up against him. Hopefully, Tyler will learn to be gentle with our tiny persian as he gets older, and hopefully Elsa continues to be tolerant of him! What a cute pair.
1st Ride in Daddy's Jeep
A couple weeks ago we had to take our Accord for an oil change, so we had to hook up Tyler's carseat in daddy's jeep so we could ride back from the repair shop. It wasn't a ride with the top down just yet (we only rolled up the back window to take a photo). Tyler was pretty serious on his car ride home, as you can see in the picture. I think he is slowly associating the jeep with his da-da because he hears him start up the jeep in the morning while I am feeding him and his eyes get wide when he hears it, pretty cute.

A Birthday Party!
On Sunday, we stopped over at Grandma and Grandpa Chiodi's house to say a final farwell to Aunt Debbee, Uncle Jason, and the kids as they prepared to leave this week for Africa. Since Nicholas' birthday is at the end of the month, we wanted to share in a birthday celebration with him. What a surprise for him!

A Family Visit
This past weekend Tyler had a very special visit from his great-grandmother and great-aunt. The weather was beautiful and we got to spend some time outside and go for a walk together. Uncle Johnny and Aunt Laura stopped in to visit, and even some cousins stopped to share a meal. Tyler hit a milestone moment over the weekend of doing some crawling for us. Aunt Ginnie worked with him on the floor as he grunted, pushed and finally made some progress scooting across the floor.
