Playdate with Bella

Tyler and Bella get together for play dates about once a month. Bella is about 5 weeks older than Tyler and is about to celebrate her 1st birthday! I cannot believe that Tyler's 1st birthday is just weeks away! This year went so fast. Matt and I were just reminiscing over all Tyler's "1sts" since last December. Those first few months of Tyler's life were a bit of a blur with my recovery, but looking back, it was the blink of an eye. We are so abundantly blessed to experience the gift of parenthood and we are truly trying to savor all these "1sts" with Tyler as a family. I am so glad we have this blog to document all the milestones and times shared with family and friends.

A Day at the Park

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at a local park for our friend James' surprise birthday party. He was completely surprised and we all had a great time enjoying the amazing weather.

Tyler was VERY proud of himself being able to still all by himself in a big boy chair

Little Man Standing

The front door has become one of Tyler's favorite spots. When he fussing, I can usually open the front door and entice him over to the window as a distraction. He loves looking out the window, and when he stands up at the front door, he's quite proud of himself! He gets to see our neighbors dogs running in the yard throughout the day, and he has started waiting for daddy to come home by sitting at the front door saying "Da-Da" over and over.

"C" is for Cookie

Tyler enjoying one of those baby wheat teething cookies... yum, yum! Maybe the cookie has helped, because a second tooth has also emerged this week... it's his bottom right tooth. Now he is equipped with two teeth, one on top and one on bottom... look out! I also noticed some chew marks on his crib railing which means I may need to find something to put over the railing so he can chew without getting splinters! : )

Surprise Visit From Grandpa

Last weekend, Grandpa was in the area for a wedding and dropped in for a visit.
