Sabrina's Dedication

Psalm 18:2
"The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."

On Sunday, March 7th, 2010, we dedicated Sabrina at church. It was a very special time for our family to commemorate the miracle that she is in our lives. During a very emotional and physically exhausting pregnancy, I nearly lost Sabrina multiple times due to serious complications. God displayed His amazing mercy and grace as He protected Sabrina in my womb and allowed her to join us as our little miracle baby. She has truly touched many hearts and lives and I pray that she will continue to be a blessing to others throughout her life.

The gown and knitted sweater set that Sabrina wore for her dedication is very special to me. The gown and sweater are mine from childhood. My great-great Aunt Ro knitted the sweater set (and maybe made the gown, I suspect). Under the gown, Sabrina wore a light cotton gown that I believe belonged to my mother as a baby. Many thanks to cousin Maria who helped repair the old gown and sweater set!

Our prayer for Sabrina:

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for graciously saving and watching over Sabrina while she was still being formed. Our prayer is that she grows up to be a Proverbs 31 woman. Help us to mold her in your ways; that she may always seek first the kingdom of God.
