Longwood in Winter

We went to Longwood Gardens with my Dad and Beth on Martin Luther King Day and toured around the indoor exhibits with the kids. We spent the most time in the children's garden where the kids are always certain to be soaked by the time we leave! It was pretty cold out that day, but the sun was out which helped the walking from place to place outdoors.

Farm Show 2012

We got out for the Farm Show again this year, and as always, the kids had a great time. We saw some friends from church that run a farm and even got to see Papa at the VFW stand, which was a great surprise for the kids.

Sabrina was in complete awe of the chickens and the ducks. She loved this part the most last year too! Her look says it all.

Tyler and I got to go in a butterfly house this year. I don't think it was at the Farm Show last year. Tyler really liked it, although, many children were actually frightened of the winged creatures flying about and clinging to our clothes. I did a lot of picking butterflies off of crying kids in efforts to help their mommies out! We took a q-tip soaked in sugar water in the house and the butterflies just naturally landed to our q-tips, it was fun!

Now this is always Tyler's favorite part of the Farm show, miles of tractors and construction equipment to ride on!
