Our Hershey Weekend

This past weekend we went on our first family trip together. We spent the weekend at the Hotel Hershey in the chocolate filled town of Hershey, PA. Matt's company sent a group of employees and their families to Hershey for the weekend as a reward for a good year of business. We had a great time. Preparing for the trip was rather overwhelming as new parents, but once we got to our destination, the stresses of the morning melted away. It was a spoiling weekend not only in our enjoyment of such a beautiful hotel stay, but also having grandparents nearby come and babysit for us while we enjoyed our first dinner date since before Tyler was born!

On Saturday, Tyler had a busy day. At lunch, some Hershey characters came into the room and Tyler and Daddy got their picture with a big chocolate bar! After lunch we went to Chocolate World where Tyler saw his first movie in a theater. It was a 15-minute 3-D movie... we tried to put the little glasses on him so he could see the screen for a little bit, it was cute. We walked around Chocolate World for a little while and Tyler fell fast asleep, so we headed back to the hotel to let him finish up his nap. Tyler spent the evening with Grandpa and Grandma and they took him for a walk around the hotel. He slept an extra hour that night!

On Sunday we went for a walk outside the hotel and then on to the Hershey Gardens. It was a gorgeous day. We had so much fun sharing this experience as a family this past weekend. We continue to marvel at the gift God has given us and we thank Him for blessing us as parents.
