Give Thanks

Well, here we are at Thanksgiving 2010 already! I was just thinking about how this time last year, I was nearly due to have Sabrina, and the long road in carrying her during pregnancy. "Give Thanks", we certainly do have SO much to be dearly thankful for in our lives. I am humbled to have the honor of being a wife and a mother, God has taught me so much through both of these roles, especially about His love for us. We wish you and your families a blessed Thanksgiving together!

Tyler and I spend the morning together preparing yummy goodness, mashed potatoes and my famous apple pecan cornbread stuffing! Tyler LOVED helping in the kitchen, and I admit, we were listening to Christmas music!

Can't wait to dig in!

Happy Thankgiving!

We celebrated two special occasions yesterday as a family, one of course being Thanksgiving Day, that of which we truly do have so much to be thankful, and the other, Tyler's 2nd Birthday (7 days early). Since I am due to have Tyler's baby sister any day now (and really feeling it!), we figured with family all together for the holiday, we would have a little celebration for Tyler. He was VERY excited to have his very own party hat and birthday cake.

Mommy and Daddy got him a bike and helmet for his birthday and I am not quite sure which he was more excited about, the bike, or the helmet and knee pads.

Thomas the Train has been his new interest the last few months.

Give Thanks

Just wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! I realized I have not posted in a while and happened to catch a few quiet moments after Tyler's bedtime this evening to post some pictures. I am just sitting here reflecting on how fast this year has gone, here we are at Thanksgiving and TODAY was actually my due date one year ago. Wow. This time last year, Matt and I were anxiously awaiting Tyler's arrival.... would I get to eat Thanksgiving dinner, or would I be eating in the hospital? Well, as we all know the end of that story... Tyler arrived one week later, a whopping 9 lb. baby boy. That little turkey cooked a long time in there, and what a blessing he's been in our life. Being parents and sharing all these experiences as a family this year have been one of God's most precious blessings. We are rapidly approaching his 1st birthday, and I think Matt and I are in disbelief.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving with family tomorrow, we hope that you will cherish the time you have with your families. God has given us so many rich blessings and Thanksgiving is a special tradition and time to come together and be grateful for His abundance in our lives.

"I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders." Psalm 9:1
