2 Month Checkup!

As you can see, Sabrina is starting to get more adventurous with toys... she can hold a toy for several minutes and shake it around. She is also continuing to get better at liking her bouncy seat and baby play gym. She is able to kick the hanging toys in her gym with her feet now, and loves watching her face in the mirror.

Last Thursday we had her two-month checkup and she did very well, minus her two shots. She cried the hardest I have ever heard to-date. The nurse asked me if I was okay, which I thought I was, but when she asked me, I felt my eyes fill with tears as I held crying Sabrina. Otherwise, the doctor was thrilled with her progress... her growth is awesome. She gained about 2 pounds from her last visit and grew and inch and a half!

Stats:
11 lbs. 5 oz. (67th percentile)
23.5 inches long (90th percentile)
15" head circumference (31st percentile)

First Day at Church

Today was our first day going to church as a family of four... well sort of, I had to come a little late in a separate car because Mommy could not swing getting ready and timing Sabrina's feeding with getting out the door! But we all got there and Sabrina did very well during the service. She started to fuss at one point, but thankfully, she takes a pacifier, so I just popped it in her mouth and rocked her in her car seat. It was really cute, most of the service Sabrina was half in and out of sleep and she kept cracking these great big smiles... I guess she liked what she heard!

He Did It!

Tyler finally did it... a poopy on the potty! We had just finished our lunch today and Tyler announced to Daddy that he had to poop. Immediately Matt brought him in the bathroom and Tyler put on his potty seat... moments later a small deed was done! We celebrated his triumph with an ice cream treat. : )

Our Two Angels

I cannot believe Sabrina is already 6 weeks old today. We are slowly getting into a schedule as far as sleeping. When I put her to bed at night she actually is quiet and goes right to sleep, it's still just a mixed bag as to what time she will find she is hungry... 4 a.m.? 5:30 a.m.? and every once in a while more like 7:30 a.m. We have had a small handful of nights where she will sleep through the night, but it's just a treat every once in a while.

In the last week or so, Sabrina's hair has worn off the top of her head. This also happened to Tyler, although he was much more bald than Sabrina. She still has a lot of dark hair all around the sides and back of her head. Actually, at the edge of her neck, she has pretty long hair. Her hair is still very dark at this point and her eyes are very light. It's obviously too early to tell, but I think her eyes may end up blue. Tyler's eyes were very gray when he was born and they stayed gray for months and then got strands of brown and changed over. Sabrina's eyes are much more vivid and blue at this stage, so maybe they will stay.

I got this photo of the two kids today... Tyler was being cute and actually posing for a picture, which is very rare for him these days, so enjoy!

Holidays with Family

Nona bought all 5 grandkids the same p.j.s for Christmas. Uncle Matt helped us get this photo of all the kids by chanting "1-2-3!" with the kids as we took pictures.

The cousins visit Malvern and have fun playing in the snow.
